My name is Asher David Edelson, and this is the blog which I created for my uncle, Barry Robins. This was a man who lived for the arts, and was famous in his time. Like so many others, Barry passed away due to AIDS complications. He lived a short life, but accomplished so much. His work and memory will continue to be famous, and he will not have died in vain. I cannot complete this alone! I need for people who knew Barry to help me expand this blog. Let us spread the word of Barry David Robins!

Happy 65th Brithday Barry!

On January 12, 1945, Barry Robins was born in Brooklyn, NY. Let us commemorate this day in honor of an actor who's passion for the arts ended early. Keeping his wonderful life in our memories celebrating his birthdays are a great way to recognize my Uncle. Please comment even if you are looking at this post after the 12th.

Barry's memorable spot in Hollywood

When I went to L.A. last year with my mother (Barry's sister), we went to his old apartment. Nearby, engraved in the sidewalk cement, Barry Robins' name literally lives on in Hollywood. My mom had said that before his death, a friend of Barry's wrote his name in the cement next to the apartment complex. There it was, preserved finely. Here is the picture:
